Smart Balance Inc., Cresskill, NJ, has named consumer packaged goods and food industry veteran Greg Venner to serve as the executive vice president and chief consumer officer. Mr. Venner will oversee consumer marketing, advertising, public relations, promotion and market research for Smart Balance’s current brands as well as new products.

Smart Balance has also promoted Peter Dray to executive vice president of operations and product development. In his new position, Mr. Dray will be responsible for all operations of Smart Balance, Inc., including all aspects of product development, product sourcing and product quality assurance and control.
